The Sony Ericsson P1 is an exciting new smartphone released in May 2007. It is a Tri-Band GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 handset with Wi-Fi 802.11b. Sony Ericsson P1 is a 3G Symbian smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. This smartphone measures 106 x 55 x 17 mm and weighs only 124 g. The central place in the body is occupied by the large 2.6" touchscreen TFT display. It can also ditche the QWERTY keyboard for a keypad similar to the M600i. Sony Ericsson P1 comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera, 512MB Memory Stick Micro slot, push email through BlackBerry Connect, Wi-Fi (802.11b), VoIP support, 2.6-inch display, a quasi-QWERTY keyboard, Opera 8, Stereo Bluetooth A2DP, and 160MB of internal memory. It is operated with Symbian 9.1 operating system.
